IBM i 6.1 Upgrade Planning - Smooth Sailing

Whether you are considering upgrading to IBM i 6.1 a few months from now or
perhaps later this year, this presentation includes planning considerations
which will prove useful for your upgrade to IBM i 6.1 (previously known as
i5/OS V6R1). You will learn about the on-line upgrade planning resources
available to you as well as the additional planning needed due to the
program conversion involved with IBM i 6.1. Last but not least, you will
hear about a helpful IBM pre-upgrade verification tool and the 'Top 10
keys' for a smooth upgrade to IBM i 6.1.
IBM i Announcements Update
During this presentation, you will be introduced to the recent IBM Power
Systems and IBM i related announcements made on April 28, 2009. A variety
of topics will be highlighted including the new IBM Power 520 and 550
processor options for i Editions, enhanced BladeCenter support for IBM i,
virtualization enhancements, new high performance Solid State Drive (SSD),
new DB2 Web Query functions and other enhancements.
